how do I fix the traction control system

Hello,

I have a 2008 Chevy Equinox. Awhile back I went through a car wash and the sunroof leaked onto the center console where the traction control button is and the gear shifter. Soon after, the Traction Control system has stopped working. I took it to a shop and they looked at it. They said it was a bad wheel speed sensor. They changed it but the problem still persists. I also checked all fuses related to the ABS System. Any thoughts? Also the check engine light is on with code P0404 EGR. I took off the EGR Valve and cleaned it with some throttle body cleaner. The check engine light is still on. Any ways to clear that? Will it clear on its own by simply driving it? Or should I simply replace it?

Thanks so much in advance.

Sincerely,

Jared Chapman

Also the check engine light is on with code P0404

The code actually means: P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance

follow "possible solutions" here: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0404

the Traction Control system has stopped working

what exactly do you mean by "stopped working"
