I have a 01 jetta 1.8 5 speed with 152k on it. I got it with the check engine code bank 1 sensor 1 no activity. I replaced the oxygen sensor with a bosch brand I now no longer have oxygen sensor codes but I have a p0441 purge flow incorrect code. I have changed the vent solenoid and the gas cap. The p0441 keeps coming back I didn't have this code before fixing the oxygen sensor

Check the purge solenoid, it should only be open while in drive.

You can remove it, blow into it, if you can feel air coming out the other side it’s bad.

I put a new purge valve on it. A standard ignition brand

Can’t reiterate enough how important it is to ALWAYS use OEM parts when it comes to sensors & other critical components. https://youtu.be/IQ3_yDam79c
