P1350 on a Lexus ES 300 2002 model Australia

Hi Scotty I have got exactly the same Lexus as your wife has. I have changed the camshaft sensor bank 2 once and the vvtis. The last code I have is P 1350 and I am worried if it's the ECM. I have ordered a new cam shaft sensor from eBay. Will check again once I have it. But an ECM is scary. The car is throwing a stable engine light after it reaches the appropriate temperature and it losses it's brain sometimes and the starts throwing tantrums with the idle going up and down. So sometimes on a 100 km the rpm goes to 3 when it should sit at 2. I love this car and don't want to sell it. Drives like a dream. It's done 325000 KMs ...same golden colour like your wife has. Please help. Sash {black}:scared:

That's not a good place to order critical parts. A lot of cheap Chinese knockoffs are sold on eBay and many that claim to be "OEM" are counterfeit.

Thanks Scotty..where can get a genuine

I'm not Scotty, just one of his minions. :silly:

Afraid I'm not familiar with what parts sources you have available in Australia. If dealers don't have the Lexus-branded part due to your vehicle's age the next best thing would be a sensor manufactured by the original supplier - probably Denso or maybe NTK on a Japanese car. You would want to buy it from a reputable vendor.
