Good morning, Love your videos!! So helpful! So I have a 2011 Dodge Avenger Lux 2.4l 4 cylinder and about a week ago the catalytic converter felt like it was starting to get clogged up than a couple days later there comes the awful horrible rotten egg smell (ive heard people talk about "ya when the catalytic converter is messing up it smells like rotten eggs.. NO!! No this is one, if not the most ABSOLUTE AWFUL DISGUSTING smells EVER!!! 😮 if youve never experienced it in person you have no idea how bad this smell is hahaha 👌👎)  I wanted to ask you for your professional opinion on this. i watched your video about pouring lacquer thinner into the gas tank but I wanted to make sure that my car would be safe to try that on? Or should I just replace the whole thing (which im REALLY REALLY trying to avoid), any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much !!!

The problem is - it's a Dodge.

How many miles you have on the car?

The point is that the CAT should not go bad soon, and if it does, then you may have issue with your engine which need to be addressed before putting a new CAT or cleaning it.

It has now 140xxx when i bought it a year ago it only had 125xxx. Its for sure the converter tho becuz the smell right?

It is most likely the case, but it should not go bad with that mileage. As I said, you should find the source of issue first before replace/cleaning it.

What could it be if it was a problem with my engine? Any suggestions?

So many things can cause CAT fail, from burring oil, coolants, .... to running rich.
