Pacifica update and 4Runner Question

Hey Scotty! Update- My 2019 Pacifica has had one repair under the extended warranty (41000 miles) Chrysler honored the warranty, go figure. Here's today's question: A family member bought a 2005 Toyota 4- Runner with the V8 and 247,000 miles. Looks and sounds good, but i haven't read the data or codes yet. Are the V8s from 2005 interference engines with a timing belt? Any other issues to look for on this model? Thanks!

Scotty? Any other input?

Yes, they are interference engines with timing belt that needs to be changed every 90k miles. Strong engine though but needs to be taken care of.

For issues related to the 2005 Toyota 4Runner see below:  hopefully they had a trusted mechanic thoroughly check it out before they bought it.
