Hello Scotty. I have a 2015 Durango Citadel with 140k miles. I have had 10 years of surprisingly trouble free driving, and would like to have the car for another few years because ot runs and shifts great, and has all the bells and whistles I enjoy. I have developed a tick in the engine. I am trying to prolong the life as long as possible without putting $5k into the engine for new lifters and most likely cams. 2 questions
1. Could it be something other than roller rockers?
2. Would changing my oil every 2500 miles with good quality factory weight oil and adding Lucas oil stabilizer help prolong the engine, assume its a bad rocker bearing.
Thanks. Love your channel!
Could it be something other than roller rockers?
Possibly. Have you checked to see if the noise is coming from inside the engine block? Have you checked for an exhaust manifold leak?

Not likely. Of course using a high quality oil is a given no matter what. Lucas "oil stabilizer" and other snake oil additives might well make matters worse.
