I have a 2014 Civic with cvt transmission. I plan to replace the transmission fluid but am unsure if i check the fluid level with the engine running. I have seen directions to do it both ways, running and not running. It is not a dipstick, but the plug on the side for level.

@imperator Step 3 does say to turn off engine to check level. That answers my question. Thanks.

what does your owner's manual say?
Have the dealer check the fluid level and replace if necessary.
