Hello Scotty. Through the years I have come across your various stories and also know a bit about your background. I hope that what I’m about to tell is of interest to you. I grew up in the Village of Lewiston. I’m 71 now, but when I was about 12, I had a Niagara Gazette paper route. Another news carrier and I got our papers dropped off in the afternoon almost in front of the Esso gas station/garage at Fourth and Center Streets. I’m assuming that your father was John and your grandfather was Elmer, right? The other carrier and I would hang around the front room of their garage drinking pop from their machine and often chatted with your dad and grandfather. I remember them both being nice to us, as well as quite tolerant. It’s a small world, isn’t it?
