hey scotty, I have a 2003 Honda Accord LX 2.4 l the check engine light came on to replace a solenoid so I did. When I went to start the car after oil solenoid was replaced I heard a sprain sound and then the car died. It hasn't started up since. It cranks over but will not start. I took off the engine manifold cover and had to realign the camshafts because they were completely off alignment. Changed out the timing chain. After I did all that and try to start the car it still only cranks but will not start up. I am missing some radiator fluid and before this whole problem the oil was slowly disappearing from my vehicle. What do you think the problem could be? By the way I love what you're doing please keep it up!
I am not sure what a "sprain sound' sounds like. But I would recommend checking the compression of the cylinders. If the engine is an interference engine, you may have a bent valve or worse since you are loosing coolant.
I meant spray. I apologize I use talk text and it took that wrong. I appreciate the information though. Thank you very much. As I turn the key and the engine started it ran for one or two seconds and then Ace spray sound came and then the engine died down like taking a battery off while running.and hasn't started since. Should the camshafts on top be easy to turn when the chain is not connected to them? Because my exhaust camshaft is way easier to turn with a wrench than the intake camshaft.
