- I have a 1986 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme brougham with a 5.0 307 I did an engine swap after purchasing a crate motior I put my accessories on and somehow forgot to put on the part that goes underneath the manifold some people call it the Spyder its a part that controls or guides the lifters I believe I just want to know how big of a deal is it that I forgot to put that part on and I've already recently started up the new crate motor and going to be setting the timing and hopefully drive the car soon some people say not all cars need it and for me not to worry but say I'm in danger

Take it apart and put it back together right you don't want to ruin that engine
