Scott my 2008 Ford edge sel 2wd. When I drive the suv 1 mile the front brakes get hard and lock up. I replaced the brake booster. Had to disconnect the master to get booster out. Ive bled the brakes, replaced the brake switch and new calipers and rotors and pads. But when they lock up its gradual and then can't push pedal at all and when I release the brake switch the brakes release and the do it again 1 mile later. Is this due to brake pedal rest position cause the brake switch is pushed all the way in at rest position.the new booster came off a 2007 model edge and I don't know if the brake pedal rest position was the same so the switch is not pushed all the way in. Please help 🙏 this is our only vehicle and our jobs depend on this suv. Thanks for your time

You need a high level scan tool to properly set the ABS solenoids so the brakes can be bled, otherwise, they won't work correctly.

Did you remember to unlock the adjuster on the brake switch and allow it to reset after you replaced the brake booster?

These are more Brake Pedal Position Sensors than they are Brake Switches.

When you remove the switch the little black tabs on the adjuster will be in the position shown in the photo on the left.

You need to grab a little screwdriver or something and as you lightly press down on the plunger, push the tabs into the position (under the blue protrusions on the brake switch body) shown in the picture on the right.

That will allow the switch to reset to the current "at rest" brake pedal position when you reinstall it
