2010 Toyota Corolla Check Engine Light ON above 40 mph

I have a problem with my 2010 Toyota Corolla Le 1.8L with over 170k miles, when going over 40 mph, check engine light comes on and the engine shakes, idles rough, also I had the gas pedal pressed all the way down and it would not accelerate nor the rpm!? so I would pull over to turn the engine off and when I turn it back on, it goes away, check engine light goes off unless I go over 40mph or 3000 RPM? So I plugged it to a scan tool and shows “cylinder 2 misfire”. So I bought new denso spark plugs. Problem went away for 2 days and came back. So then I bought new denso ignition coils. It got a little better but this time I can’t go over 4000 RPM

Or it would do the same thing again…

Engine shakes, Check engine light goes on, gas pedal doesn’t accelerate , and idles Rough. Oh also I have check and cleaned MAF, Air filter, throttle body and the scan tool still shows “Cylinder 2 Misfire.” It’s weird because the car runs good under 4000 rpm and starts up with no problem?

So any thoughts would it could be or what I’m missing? Please!

After you check the obvious things like that the air filter is clean, that the oil is good, that there isn't any VVT rattle on startup,

Then it's either air (which is complex on Toyotas thanks to ACIS),

spark (but that's IMO unlikely as you have replaced the two main causes),

or fuel (which is quite likely).

Check whether your fuel pressure drop when it's acting up during acceleration -

If the pressure doesn't hold, that's probably a fuel pump that's struggling to keep up.

If the pressure checks out, but fuel trims go insane when it's acting -

Check if correlates with the fuel system going into closed loop or not.

If it has no correlation, if possible check the fuel injectors -

Generally, I think that injector cleaning/replacement can be a good idea

Is your car equipped with ValveMatic?

And if you have a good scan tool, does ACIS's intake air control valve position affect how it runs? what about VSV?

try swapping injectors, and then maybe a cylinder compression test.
