Power steering stopped working

Hi Scotty, I'm working on a 08 kia sedona and I'm having an issue with my power steering. I did the method were you take out the fluid and replace it with the transmission fluid that you recommend. Turned the wheel several times. Took out the trans fluid and put in new power steering fluid. It worked great until I put it in drive. It had no power steering. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you
Robert

Well, once you put in drive put the load of the car and a power steering doesn't work generally. That means the pump isn't putting out enough pressure. Either the pump is shot or there's some kind of restriction and the hoses or in the power steering rack itself. Once it's loaded in gear on the ground, if it won't work, there's not enough pressure pushing on the rack itself so either the rack has internal problems or the pump isn't pumping enough pressure
