I have a 2011 traverse, i changed the power steering pump, the old one was diying. It was hard to turn at times. Fluid was full. I have it changed, fluid topped up, and ive tried to bleed the air out. Front off the ground, turn each way for 10 mins like one site said. Then 10-15 times each way like others said. Nothing helps. One side said to leave the resevoir cap open overnight, so i did since i park in a garage. The level went down so i checked it improved a lot, so much less noise so ot let air out. Ive also used a vacume pump. Any suggestions of how i can get that last bit out, its being a pain.
Usually I drive them and it get's resolved in a couplie days. On another note, don't leave PS fluid open to air, it'll pull moisture out of the air and into the system which is not ideal.
I also thought it would work out the air after driving it a bit but its been a bit now. The noise is driving me crazy
