Hello
I have a Vauxhall Astra SRI 2010, 81,000 miles. I had my front brake pads change recently and after the change my power steering has gone completely light and does not turn back after turns. It feels very weird to drive as the steering is so light and turns so quickly. Can the mechanic have done something wrong while doing the change? Thank you

Does it do the same when the car is off?
No it does not
If it helps my car is front wheel drive, manual and has electric parking brakes
If it happened right after you took the car from the shop, odds are something happened during the repair. Call the shop and see what they say.

The shop must have "accidentally" messed something up when working on your brakes. Take it back for a proper fix.
