Power steering major leak
So I have a 2003 Ford Windstar about 140 thousand miles automatic body used from my fiancé‘s grandparents and replace the high-pressure hose and now I have a worse leaks and I did before to where the power steering will be full at the beginning of the day and by the end of the night it’s completely empty what would be the cause of it and what are the steps to fix it .
Where should I start looking for the leak(s)? I’m not very technical with cars but if I am shown a diagram of where to look I can find it.
Start with the power steering pump and follow the hoses to the steering rack. The leak could be anywhere from the pump to the rack. Using some UV dye may help you track it down as it would for an engine oil leak.
if it happens after replacement the high pressure hose, whoever did the job messed it up. You should find and fix the leak(s).
