Power steering pump

  • My vehicle is a 2013 Buick Enclave with a 3.6-liter V6 engine.
  • We recently went to Firestone because we were having difficulty turning left. It came back with a list issues. Tie rods needing to be replaced. Leaking power steering(but never any evidence on the ground), power steering pump begging to be fixed and struts that needed to be replaced. It was estimated to be a $3,800 job. Extremely outside our price range. Do you know anyone that's trustworthy and does payment plans or less expensive work in the South Coast region of Massachusetts by any chance?

Are you having network issues? (You posted this seven times in rapid succession.) If so, then please wait until you have a stable connection. If you are pressing the submit button more than once, please stop. Press it once, and wait for it to finish processing. Otherwise it creates more work for moderators to clean up, and eventually the system will automatically ban your from entering.

@chucktobias that was absolutely my fault my apologies.

You really should get a 2nd opinion from a real mechanic. Chain shops like Firestone are almost as bad as dealers when it comes to ripping people off.

There are some mechanic referrals in the FAQ, but none in your area. If the car can be driven to Rhode Island, when Scotty is there he would probably be able to check it out for you but I believe he is currently back in Tennessee and will not be returning to Rhode Island for a few months.
