Hi Scotty, my car 2010 Honda Pilot 130,000 miles on it has a crack on the inner tie rod boot- it’s wet but not leaking on the ground yet. Is that an indication of a bad power steering rack or the seal dust ( boot) needs to be replaced? Thank you 🙏
I wouldn’t go and change the rack for that. It is a dust boot and shouldn’t have fluid inside but as long as your not losing fluid and it’s not dripping out a seep is nothing to be alarmed about

Are you sure were talking about the rack and not the drive axle?
I’m 100% positive, it’s the inner tie rod boot. It’s too bad I cannot post a video here. I could send it to you via email if thats ok with you..
