I am in the Dallas area and I am in the market for the first time. I am seriously considering buying a used Prius, but I learned on Scotty’s video that they can be gamble. I found this Prius (link attached) and I was hoping to get some guidance on whether it seems to be a wise purchase. The person selling the car is a mechanic and has paperwork of a new battery. How old and how many miles? Is the replacement battery a "rebuilt" unit (might only last a year or two), or actually brand new? There are other expensive parts that can go bad such as the generator which costs several thousand dollars to replace. You would need to have the car checked out by a hybrid expert before purchase.
