2010 Prius. 247,000ish miles. Entire car shakes violently every so often when slightly accelerating or when taking foot off the gas. Doesn’t seem to be just when the battery is low. Runs pretty good besides the shaking. What could be the problem?
Unfortunately that's often a failing CVT transmission. Have a guy like me checking out with his fancy scant on. If so, probably time to get rid of it because replacing that Tran he cost a fortune on that hybrid
The three most possible things with this symptoms in a Prius.
1) Hybrid Battery.
2) Inverter.
3) eCVT transmission.
I would investigate these areas more intently. See if you can pull codes too. Make sure to get a proper diagnosis before replaces parts, because all these three parts are expensive.
