I live in California, and will be purchasing a used 2011 Nissan Leaf with around 50-60k miles on it shortly, and I was wondering if I should avoid cars without frequent servicing? how often should this vehicle have been serviced during this time? A lot of cars seem to have only been serviced 5-6 times, is this normal?
Also battery degradation doesn't bother me.

Well, those things don't need much servicing. Just realize they have a limited range. At least don't go all that far before they run out of power. But if you're happy with that, try to talk them down on price because theleafs have one of the lowest resale values of all cars out there
