Hello! I was in the market for a new truck. My friend is a dealer and is willing to sell me a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4.7 4x4 with 170k miles. He said he would sell it to me for $4,000. It’s lived it’s life here in upstate NY so it’s somewhat rusty here and there but the frame is solid. Is there any input on if this is a good buy and a good truck? Anything i need to look out for? No codes or lights on the dash it is nys inspected also.

That thing is 17 years old. You need to have a good mechanic inspect it before purchase, and don't just visually check for rust, use a screwdriver to see if holes can be poked into the frame.
