Question about 2013 Escalade

I have a 2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum. I’ve owned her about 4 years now and she has 150000 miles now, she had about a hundred thousand when I bought her. My question is should I service the transmission or just keep driving? I’ve been told it could damage the transmission if you wait too long , and I don’t know if it’s been done before. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you do the fluid & filter, be sure to save the old fluid for some time incase it starts slipping/ having issues with new transmission fluid. If these issues do come up, then you would want to put the old, dirty fluid back in. Scotty says sometimes new fluid can be too slick, and cause it to slip. But the older fluid which is dirty will have more friction, which will help a worn transmission not slip. If it shifts totally fine its probably safe to do, but from what ive seen & heard, the weak point of those drivetrains are the transmissions. Find a good mechanic & get their opinion.

I've heard the same thing many times on not to touch it and leave it alone but only add new fluid if your level is low. However I have the same issue. I bought a 2005 Toyota Sienna with 100,000 miles and quite a few have told me to change the fluid because Toyotas have a good transmission and the previous owner didn't drive it too much but never changed it. I called a professional transmission shop that's been around 3o years and he told me to just leave it alone. I'm surprised because most shops want you to come in so that they can make money. What should I do?

Change the fluid and filter, every 30-50,000 miles.
