Hi Scotty my vehicle is a 98 Ford Escort ZX2 dual overhead cam hot Coupe stick ... I've been struggling with trying to get funds together or anybody to help me get my clutch installed into my vehicle for 6 months now at this point I'm somewhat determined to try to do it myself do you think myself being a 24 year old female could install it I'm not very buff and I'm small as a stick but I'm fairly strong and determined. Although everybody else is determined to not help at any cost would you be able to help me figure out what tools I would all need? Also what would I need aside from the clutch kit I bought at the AutoZone store somebody said something about bolts and the seal.
As well what is the best way to go about driving it without the clutch? I replaced the master cylinder and great for 2 days and then blew the slave cylinder which completely toasted the clutch but I need to be able to move it I don't know what the process of moving it without using the clutch after I unplug the neutral safety switch!?
I was also informed that somebody might have stolen the catalytic converter out of my car but as far as I was in knowledge of it wasn't possible to do so? Also can I run a straight pipe in place of this?
Thanks!
If your catalytic converter was stolen you'd know it due to the extremely loud exhaust and fumes coming from under the car.
If the problem is the slave cylinder it looks like it's an external part which should not be too tough to replace, assuming the ZX2 has the same setup as other model Escorts.

Not the greatest video here but it shows replacing the slave cylinder on a 1996 Escort which appears to be the same part as a 1998 model:
