I have a 2004 buick park avenue...how bad of a job is it to install the rack and pinion

not around us but no fun either because it goes from left to right side of the front suspension and a lot of parts have to be taken off it can be done with normal hand tools and jacks and jack stands but it is a pretty big job plus you will always have to pay a front end alignment guy to realign it when done

Yes. Can be a pain without the vehicle lifted in the air.
Call around. Mechanics do not charge hefty prices to swap them out.
