Scotty,
Got a 2005 Chevy Equinox with 198K miles. I recently drained and flushed the radiator using the plastic drain plug. Now the drain plug drips. I can't find a replacement plug. I'm considering using JB Weld to permanently seal - just use the lower radiator hose to drain in the future
I went with teflon tape method. Figured I'd try the easy one first. It's working so far!
Before JB welding the plug in place, try wrapping some plumbers Teflon tape around the plastic drain plug threads. It might stop the drip and you can continue to use the plug normally. If it doesn't work then go with the JB weld. Good luck.
I would use pipe dope
If you can't find a plug then yeah just get a boat that fits in there and coat it with JB weld and as you screw it in the JB weld will seat it and it won't wake
