Radiator Fan not kicking on

Hello Scotty,

I have a 2005 Pontiac vibe with about 20,000 miles on it, I recently changed the coolant temp sensor and the radiator fan is not kicking, however, when I disconnect the sensor or turn on the Air Conditioning the fan kicks on and the temp gauge shoots to the middle, I've checked the connections, fuses and relays everything seems fine, yet the fan is not working, Could it be that the thermostat is bad or the water pump is bad?

Well, the radiator fan will come on when the engine gets hot. Regardless of whether the water pump or the thermostat is working, it will come on so it's not those. I realize those are complex computer driven systems. Many times guys will just wire a car like that so that the fan runs the whole time. They don't have to worry about it. Overheating rather than a mess with all their computer crap

Okay thank you, so would you suggest the next attempt should be?
