I know Scotty doesn’t like start/stop, and I also know he and others say the RAM trucks (gas) at idle starve the back of the engine for oil, resulting in excess wear in the last cylinder/valves. Is it better to take the wear from start/stop or from idling in this vehicle?
Mine is 2023 RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi.

Yeah, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, but you would be better not to idle that particular engine because extended idling will wear the camshaft out
