2006 Mercury Montego, After driving 30 miles or so car vegans a hard jerk, like riding a bull, and then with no signs just dies, in bumper to bumper traffic or at stop sign not every time but, randomly!!!! Replaced egr valve, throttle body, coils, fuel filter, so, fuel pump or maybe cam shaft sensor???? And no codes are showing!!!!

Sounds like my old van with wore out crankshaft sensor. Engine randomly shuts off.

Realized guessing is kind of futile in those cases but if you want to guess a weak fuel pump is very common it will drip no codes when it goes bad. But the way I figured those are is I drive them with my fancy scan tool hooked up and when it dies that remembers all that data then I analyze the data to see what went wrong

Shop said good fuel pressure and that it died on them but no codes showed up after dying ge said maybe something is heating up on it and making it do this so still NO answers!!!!!

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? My Honda Civic is having random stalling problems but without any bucking. It will be running fine and then just suddenly quit. I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, Ignition control module, coil, distributor cap and rotor, engine control module and even the spark plugs, but none of these fixed my random stalling with subsequent hard restarting. I've reached the end of my car repair knowledge and hope someone with more knowledge can help me. Thanks.
