I have a 2016 toyota rav4 105k miles now. It stall and die sometimes when I'm about to stop for traffic lights but has no problem starting back up right away. Weird shifting lagging acceleration and hesitant. It happened before and dealer said it was bad gas.they changed sparks plugs and some kind of fuel cleaning. It went away for a while now it's doing it again .and always after I ful the tank from really low. Do you think the pump is failing or the tank is dirty. I'm pretty sure it isn't the gas

That’s exactly what my Lincoln would do right before the pump completely crapped out. Hopefully you won’t have to go to the trouble we did on my Lincoln 😅. On my car you have to drop the tank to get to the pump, but the tank was too full of gas to drop. So… there may or may not be an access hole cut into the trunk of my car hidden by the spare tire 🤣

Could it be the evap canister?

Letting your fuel level get below 1/4 tank or less in a fuel injected car is the kiss of death for electric fuel pumps.  @mmj has the answer.  Your fuel pump is bye bye.
