Dear Scotty:
I rebuilt the front-end on my 2004 Honda Pilot. Strut assembly, A-arm assembly, tie-rod ends, wheel bearings, hubs, and constant velocity axles. I did the job in two-steps. First, the strut assembly, A-arm assembly, and tie-rod ends. Everything was fine.
Second, I replaced the wheel bearings, hubs, and constant velocity axles.
Now there is rattling from the drivers side whenever I go over a bump, (even small bumps). I double-checked to make sure everything is tight, and it is, but the rattling persists.
I could sure use some suggestions on what to look for, or something I missed.
Doug
What parts have you used? OEM, from junkyard, non OEM aftermarket?
I used non OEM aftermarket parts. I inspected them and they appeared as good as OEM parts.
If you post a video, it perhaps could help give us an insight what it could be.
Did you replace the strut mounts as well?
Have you verified it’s not just some loose plastic cladding, that’s rattling? -
Yes, the new strut assembly included the strut mount.
