What is a good clutch to buy?

Hey everyone I got a 2017 Mazda Mx-5 Miata with around 55k miles and I was wondering if I could get away with buying a cheaper clutch assembly kit instead of a $800 one. Currently my car doesn't need the clutch but I like to have one in case I ever need it.

$800 clutch: https://www.darksidemotoring.com/products/act-clutch-kit-2016-2017-mazda-mx-5-miata-nd

$500 clutch (which is still very expensive): https://www.carid.com/exedy/stage-1-sport-racing-clutch-kit-mpn-10814.html?singleid=1713542861&url=89110331

Replacing a clutch is a pain in the butt. Why not replace it with quality parts so you don't have to do it again in 30k miles?

Is Exedy not a quality clutch?

Exedy makes great clutches, especially for their price point. But OP is looking for a CHEAP clutch instead which I wouldn't recommend doing.

Unless you drive like a manic, just sit on your hands for the moment. You don’t drive a hard to find parts for car, and the clutch should give you plenty of symptoms, before needing replacement.

When it does finally go out, take @mod_man ‘s advice and buy yourself a good quality clutch kit.

This was my first thought as well. I totally understand being prepared, but clutches for his vehicle are available almost everywhere. I wouldn't worry if it were me.

i rather stick with OEM part instead of cheaper brand that might break sooner than OEM one.
