A Toyota Matrix XR wagon, private owner, 173,000 mi., asking 3900$. Anything notorious I should be aware of about this vehicle? Says everything works well no mechanical issues, clean. A/C cold. How long do you think this vehicle will last? Should I still get it checked by my mechanic? (135$ to check it). Pics of exterior/interior looks good but the mileage seems kinda high. What's the model year?
As long as it is the 1.8 and the car checks out I would say the car is a safe bet
U said the XR trim and most of the ones with the Xr trim have the 1.8. If a mechanic says it's good, go ahead and buy it. If it was the 2.4, I would have told u to run away from it because they were not good engines.
