Trouble filling up the tank at the pump

2006 nissan altima 2.5s

Automatic with almost 200,000 miles

When I go to a gas pump I have to barley squeeze the trigger to fill up my gas tank

When I squeeze the trigger all the way it shuts off immediately as if its full and the tank gurgles and once it stops gurgling I can do it again but it takes forever so I have to barley squeeze the trigger to get it done quicker but I also don't know if that is making me pay more for gas by doing it that way and each time I fill up my tank the pump says I put 15-20 gallons in it

You have a problem with your evap system. It might even be clogged with spiders.

In the past, when filling up do you pull the pump out when it auto stops at full? or do you top off after full ?

Definitely an EVAP problem. Do you have any codes?

Your canister vent valve might be clogged. There's also a slight possibly your purge valve to the intake is bad as well. I had this problem with my 2017 Mustang and an EVAP code for a faulty purge valve on the intake. I replaced the valve and the problem went away.
