There are no full size trucks with a 4-cylinder engine. The closest thing that meets your specifications is a Ford Ranger single cab with a 7-foot bed.
Other recommendations include the Toyota Tacoma with a single cab (I don't know if they actually made any single cab, 8-foot bed trucks, I would think you can get one for the same length). The Toyota Tundra is the best for that job if you require a full-size truck. Have a mechanic check it out throughly before you buy.
Ford Ranger. I would use it as a secondary/backup vehicle. Don't pay too much for it and have a mechanic look over it extensively before purchasing.
