I have a 1957 Chevy 3100 king bed. It has everything original but is going to need an overhaul and body work. Trying to decide if I should rebuild the 283 that’s in it or get something else. I want to use this more as a daily driver. It has original tranny and rearend too. Any thoughts or suggestions
Well if you want to use it as a daily driver me I'd go with something more modern. Unless you trying to make it a classic that's worth money. That's all original but it doesn't sound like you're doing that
What engine, tranny, rearend combo might you suggest?
I could restore as a classic too. Just want to do a fun build with my boys use the truck 1-2 times a week and pass it down. Would that change your suggestion on rebuilding or swapping
