Scotty, I live in minnesota and a couple years ago I sold my 2005 sequoia to a very nice police officer.

I was wanting to contact him to see if I could buy my old car back from him, but I lost all his contact information. Is there a way I could get his contact info from the dmv?  How would you reconnect with someone you sold a car to a couple years ago ?

Did you save the VIN for your car? If you type the VIN look up, it should tell you where the car is located.

you're gonna have to do some sleuthing. Dig up all the paperwork you have, and call the DMV.

Or maybe if you go to the front desk of the PD and they can help you out.

If you don't have the VIN, call your insurance company.  They should have it.

Do you remember his name and the police department he worked for?  It's possible they may help you out.

I'm 99% certain the DMV will not provide you with the owner's information.  I believe there is a nationwide law that prohibits DMVs from providing any information along those lines.

That being said, if you have the VIN a private investigator can easily locate where the vehicle is.
