The remote start in my 2016 honda civic seem to have an issue.
It starts for about 5 seconds and goes off having followed all the requirements.
My car has 102000 miles on the odometer.
What could be the problem and how would it be fixed?
At one time did it work properly? Can you still start the car manually? Any noticeable difference in performance otherwise?
@MrBob please put your questions/comments/answers in the “Your Answer” section down below. Thank you.
Start off with testing the battery within the key fob. If that's not the issue, then the remote might have to be reprogrammed.
- @MrBob. It used to work properly until recently and the car can start manually (push to start) with no problems and there's been no issue at all with performance. Thanks
@kesterpaul62 okay thanks.
How do I test the key fob battery? Or should I just get a new battery in the key fob? Coz the key fob works quite okay (i.e. It performs all other functions except for the remote start).
Many thanks
