Should I replace 2001 Xterra hydrolocked engine

My 2001 Nissan Xterra manual 5 speed with 315,000 blew a head gasket and the mechanic told me the engine is hydro locked and will need a new engine for $5000.  Is is worth replacing the engine since the rest of the car is in good shape? Over the past few years I've replaced the radiator, power steering pump, fuel pump, shocks, and I just bought new tires.

with that age and mileage, no.

It had a good run. Even if you sink 5k into it the truck still won’t be worth 5k so I would cut your losses

315,000 miles is quite a run!  At $5,000 I would retire her.
