Hi, Scotty I have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster. My driver's side headlight quit working and I had it replaced, however they told me the cap on that headlight was cross threaded and it got water inside and corroded the socket that the bulb plugs into and the dealer said it is a one piece harness and hard wired socket and it will cost $5000 yes that is five thousand to replace it. I am trying to figure out another way to replace it but cannot find just the socket I could resolder it in but cannot locate one even in the junk yards please help do you have any suggestions?
one see if there's any Chinese knockoff replacement assemblies they cost a lot less but if there aren't hire a mechanic we mechanic can rewire just about anything and then seal it with silicone so water doesn't get in
