Is the rislone valve sealer any good. I can't get the at-205 reseal anywhere. The car overheated and only started blowing smoke firstly in the morning. The head was rebuilt a few year's back so i think its herdening from the heat. Thanks Scotty

I've been swinging spanners for 24 years and seen good and bad products come and go rislone valve reseal is relatively new in Australia. This is why I asked for more info and appreciate the help {black}:laughingoutloud: {black}:laughingoutloud:

People are using these resealers for the wrong things.

You need to fix the issue at hand.

It's a b20 crv that has had the head reconditioned. The bypass hose blew and it got hot. Yeah I'd ideally replace the seals considering it's around $100aud to replace the seals myself and $67 dollars for the treatment. I physically can't do the work

Have you gone to a good local shop to see what the work would cost? It is probably time for a new car since the head has already been reconditioned once. Sucks to say that, but for what repairs may cost....it could be a better option.

Labour would be over $400 to just do the valve guide seals. I will have to buy seals and the tool for the b20b valve springs. And do them over a few days. I do have a spare head I can refurbish but that's the last resort. Thanks for the advice

Your car burns oil and rubber seals does not do anything about that. You need to fix the issue.

Does this product actually work softening the seals though. Yeah ideal world I'd do the valve guide seals. Unfortunately I've hurt my back and waiting to see a neurosurgeon. I'm going to give it s shot. It's not too bad yet and if it does work for now it would be great.

Update! Well I won't be able to tell you if the rislone valve seal treatment works because it blew the head gasket. I was suspicious that after it was overheated the gasket was starting to let go. I'm going to put a camera in the cylinders and see if their is further damage. If all looks good I'll start the head replacement since I have a good spare cylinder head.
