Hello Scotty, I hope your having a good day. New female subscriber here. I have a 2013 Nissan Maxima SV, est. 80K miles. Soon I think I’ll have to replace it. In your video’s you often say, “before buying a car do your research.” I ask, how? How do I find out (other than your videos) what is a good used car to buy, best pricing, issues with the vehicle etc.? I thought KBB and Edmunds were good resources but you say they’re garbage? As a female, I’m sure the seller, private or retail, thinks sucker as soon as they see me. LOL I want to be educated. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you all for your responses. No, I don't have anything specific in mind other than I'd prefer a V6. When I narrow it down I will visit the links given and ask on this forum. Thanks again!

Hello!
Let me share my experience with you. Few months ago I bought 2 years old Toyota Auris. Before that I had been researching cars for more than a year. During the research I encountered Scotty's channel. I was looking what cars people were selling and googled what problems were typical for them. And watched Scotty's videos. So I focused on Toyota. I was looking between Corolla, Auris and potentionally Yaris. Auris was my favourite one.
Now I have it. I hope it will hold at least 15 years.
Good luck!
You should have somebody knowledgeable look at a car before you pay any money. That could be a mechanic, or someone you trust. That person can also advise you what to buy, or what to stay away from.
Of course, we can help you here too. Did you have any cars in mind?
