I just purchased a 2016 Hyundai Elantra gt after my 15 soul bricked (last owner neglectful, tried my best to save her life) I just put in laser iridium spark plugs and duralast ignition coils and I was looking at serpentine belts (dosent need one just want to update it) are the ribbed ones better than the standard ones?

I thought ribbed belts were for grooved pulleys. I didn't think they were interchangeable.
Of the five different brands of serpentine belts listed for your Elantra on rockauto.com they are all multi-ribbed. I’m not sure what you mean by “standard ones”.
All the serpentine belts I've ever seen are ribbed on one side and smooth on the other. The ribbed side rides against ribbed pulleys and the smooth side on smooth pulleys.
Scotty teached us not to buy a Hyundai, but maybe I misunderstood something? 🤨
