How I do I replace Lexus IS 350 brake rotors and pads

Hey Scotty, I have been watching alot of your videos lately and compared to the other DIY videos I have watched I liked how to point you are and how you try your best to make everything easy for everyone to understand and do the work themselves.

I have a 2013 Lexus IS 350 that needs new rotors and brake pads that will cost me 1k to get done. Unfortunately alot of things happened all at once to maintain my car, new battery, tires etc. In my financial situation right now during this pandemic and losing my job, I desperately need my car.

I decided to do the job myself with the help of my Dad, he used to work at Firestone but unfortunately my car doesn't have the same brakes like the 1960-70's cars he knows how to work on. After searching the internet for instructionals involving my car model the job seems easy to do but there's always someone doing something a little different. Because I'm someone who wants to do everything the correct way recommended by my manufacturer for safety and reliability, can you recommend the best instructional for me to go by. Can you also recommend the best floor jack brand, rotors and brake pads. Since I am doing the job myself I can afford the best quality now. I can purchase OEM if that would be the best. Reliability, safety and longevity is very important to me. I live in Houston also.

Sorry about the long message.

You can use parts from AutoZone or any place like that I have on my own life's Lexus. Watch my videos on how to replace disc brakes on your car and you'll see it's not that hard

For floor jack to do the job, just click on ‘Tools’ up above which takes you to Scotty’s Amazon Page then scroll down to ‘Car Repair Tools’ and you will find it there.
