Rough idling after battery drained.

Hie l have a toyota vitz 2006.2sz engine. Automatic. 

The battery drained then l removed it for a recharge. After l put it back the car started to idle roughly. How can l fix this.

Go driving.

When you unplug the battery you reset the computer. It has to recalibrate.

The one thing you can do, in future, to make the relearn idle procedure less extreme, is to clean both the Mass Air Flow sensor and the Throttle Body. (See the video below).

When the battery is drained or disconnected, the computer resets values to that of a new engine. (The computer adjusts for dirty MAFs and Throttle Body. Cleaning the MAF and Throttle Body brings these air flow  mechanisms closer to the "new state," creating a smoother idle).
