Hi Scotty and everyone! I have a 2006 Honda Accord V6 auto with 176k miles. I noticed on cold starts the rpms fluctuate a bit, they go up and down (couple 100 rpms but nothing too crazy) but after literally 5 seconds it situates itself and everything’s normal from there and also good on warm start ups. I have been watching your videos Scotty and I’m just wondering if I’m correct. Could it be something with the fuel injectors? That maybe the car and it’s ECM maybe compensating at cold starts by either spraying too much fuel or less fuel, or could it be something else? This was my girlfriend’s car but now it’s mine, she had it over for over 6 years and I’m trying to catch it up with maintenance. To give you an example, when I got the car I replaced out the air filter and cabin air filter and they were bad, I hope that can help indicate how it’s life has been the past 6 years. Thank you for your time in advance and have a good day and stay safe!
Well do check for vacuum leaks but if you can't find any do my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner
Thank you Scotty! No vacuum leaks just had to clean the throttle body/air intake. On the other hand I had to do an extra step, didn't know I had to do a Idle Relearn Procedure for the Honda but nonetheless we're doing good so far!
