How to remove RTV from dipstick

Hello! I have a 96 Camry with 120k miles and and automatic transmission. I just replaced my oil pan gasket with RTV and had no leaks. Upon checking the fluid level it had RTV on the stick. Anyone know how to remove the RTV from the dipstick so I can get an accurate reading?

Did you try a razor blade or gasket scraper?

I’ve got the RTV off the dipstick but I think RTV is blocking the dipstick from getting a good reading, any ideas?

RTV is flexible, it's probably some excess flash that got squeezed out rather than a solid blockage. Can you push the dipstick past it? (At least if the dipstick is metal, you probably shouldn't force a plastic one.)

Yes I can
