- I have a toyota vitz 2001 1.0L 1sz-fe it is running ritch, black smoke, poor accelaration, bad gass milage, idle not steady sometimes a miss fire. I have changed the spark plugs, new injectors and new mass air flow sensor but the check engine light is still on. What could be the issue? The car has 250000Km
For future reference please do not "hijack" someone else's topic to ask your car question, start a new topic of your own instead. (We have split off your question into its own topic for you in this case.)
I have changed the spark plugs, new injectors and new mass air flow sensor but the check engine light is still on.
Were any of those parts actually worn out? Did you install OEM injectors and MAF sensor? Since the check engine light is on there is at least one code stored. What is it?
What could be the issue?
Given that it's a 24-year old car with relatively high mileage it could just be worn out. You need to run a diagnostic scan for codes, freeze frame data, and live data. The check engine light indicates the car's computer has a story to tell you.
