Hey Scotty, I wanted to ask if it would be ok to change my transmission fluid on my 6 speed manual 2012 vw Jetta tdi at 120000 miles for the first time

Manual transmissions are always OK to change the fluid on. When Scotty discusses taking precautions when changing transmission fluid he is talking mostly about automatic transmissions. Make sure you use the proper gear oil and make sure it is filled to the proper capacity.
