I used to have a set of sawdust tires for my two-wheel drive pickup in the 70's. They worked so well in ice and snow I would have never needed 4-wheel drive. Do they still make these and why did they stop making them since they worked so well in cold climates?

Treadwright makes tires infused with walnut shells and ground glass. They are re-treads though, which I don't trust.
